I have an announcement and a quick question for you...
Would you to attend a free culturally inclusive public/community engagement webinar?
What will the webinar be about?
Sectors including innovation, health care, research, policy makers, recruitment, engineering and planning are fast embracing inclusive practices to create more relevant, sustainable and effective results.
Communities hold the knowledge – it's always been the case, but now their voices are increasingly being heard. But how do you 'hear' people appropriately?
I've been collaborating with University of Cambridge for over two years, including co-developing and co-delivering community engagement training to academics, PhDs and staff with with an interest in being more equitable in their practice.
I'll be rolling out my own training based on this successful version for anyone whose job includes engaging with communities or public, e.g:
- Engagement leaders
- Researchers in academia and industry
- Students
- EDI leaders
- Cultural sector experts
- Marketing and communications professionals
- Recruitment specialists
- Professionals in the built environment
- Urban developers
- Funding bodies (seeking to understand improved engagement)
- Activists
The training covers different levels of engagement – from one-off consultation to more involved work. Most of the focus is on the latter.
Even if you're simply curious about what deeper engagement is, you're most welcome!
